Graduate Seminar
Last year, Sanders begun teaching a seminar for graduate students in architecture, gender studies, law, and political science that explores the need to create safe accessible public spaces for people of different races, genders, and disabilities. The art museum is one building type considered, in how formal conventions of architecture, transmitted through typologies, guidelines and building codes, have excluded persons outside white, masculine, heterosexual, able-bodied, secular norms.
